Judging from the trailer actually looks pretty good, although the thing that makes me hesitant to watch it is that its directed by Uwe Boll Also the video sample might be a bit of a spoiler so be careful

It’s not that common to see a Belgian animated movie, but Fly Me To The Moon is exactly such a case. This was originally a 3D movie for IMAX but most of these movies including this one are usually released in 2D as well. The IMDB rating is rather average but feel free to give it a try. Spanish and English subtitles included.

A preteen-aged fly named Nat and his two best friends, I.Q. and Scooter, build a “fly-sized” rocket in a field across from Cape Canaveral, Florida, where the Apollo 11 sits on its launch pad. From his earliest memory, Nat remembers his grandfather, Amos, telling him of his daring rescue of Amelia Earhart as she crossed the Atlantic Ocean on her historic flight. Wanting to be an adventurer like his Grandpa, Nat knows what he has to do. This should be a treat for Weezer fans. Cuomo, a year after releasing Alone, releases the sequel. Although I haven’t listened to this one, I liked the original.  Although some of the songs and a lot of the recordings were kind of rough, there was plenty to like in the collection of songs.  Here’s hoping that this set is the same way.  Thanks to FNT for the pre.

Rivers Cuomo, Weezer’s front-man & song-writer, released some of his home recordings earlier in 2008. The release was so successful that he has decided to release even more. Group BiFOS brings us a DVDrip of The Midnight Meat Train (Even though they spelt it wrong in their release), downside to this release is that its hard subbed with korean subtitles. There were a few R5 versions of this movie released about 1 month ago now (Here and here for those posts) but those 2 were apparently slightly out of sync in several parts of the movie.

Similar in intent to reality TV spoof SERIES 7: THE CONTENDERS, this mockumentary-style movie profiles three characters who are given a series of rules to follow as they attempt to murder their enemies and catch the act on camera.

This is my first ever staff pick, so I wanted to make sure it was a good one (iGNITE releasing it last night helped too). You think Tom Cruise and you think Top Gun, Mission Impossible and so on and so forth, you don’t think The Firm. The Firm is a relatively old movie, 15 years old to be exact, but just like fine wine…you know the rest. I’ve read the book, I watched the film and it’s a great adaptation of John Grisham’s masterpiece. Even by today’s standards, the movie has several big stars and the cast really comes together throughout the feature. At over 2 & 1/2 hours long, Sydney Pollack’s creation demands patience, but you will be rewarded. The soundtrack fits in just right as well, lots of piano pieces and traditional south music. All in all, the IMDB rating doesn’t do the movie justice…

In this drama, based on the best-selling novel by John Grisham, Mitch McDeer (Tom Cruise) is a young man from a poor Southern family who has struggled through Harvard Law School to graduate fifth in his class. Mitch is entertaining offers from major firms in New York and Chicago, but when Memphis-based Bendini, Lambert, & Locke offer him a 20 percent higher salary than the best offer he’s received, in addition to an enticing variety of perks and fringe benefits, he decides to sign on and remain in the South. Mitch’s wife, Abby (Jeanne Tripplehorn), warns him that the deal sounds almost too good to be true, but it’s not until after several weeks of working with Avery Tolar (Gene Hackman) that Mitch discovers that the vast majority of BL&L’s business is tied to organized crime, with crime boss Joey Morolto (Paul Sorvino) using the firm to launder Mafia money. Group BDK released an R5 rip of American comedy The House Bunny. It’s the first watchable release of this average flick with Anna Faris in the main role. The image is super, but the audio is only from cam, so it’s not good at all. Anyway, we can expect a proper R5 with line audio soon. Finally, I don’t really understand why BDK released this movie as 2 CD with 2000 kbps video bitrate, it could easily with on 1 CD, but I guess one extra CD won’t kill anyone nowadays.

Following guitarist-composer Frank Zappa’s death 15 years ago, a lot of impressive unreleased ore has been hacked from the Zappa mines. The latest is the ‘70s stuff collected on “One Shot Deal” and a DVD of a 1981 concert, “The Torture Never Stops.”

The Police were a three-piece rock band consisting of Sting (vocals, bass guitar), Andy Summers (guitar, vocals) and Stewart Copeland (drums, percussion, vocals). The band became globally popular in the early 1980s, playing a style of rock that was influenced by jazz, punk and reggae music. Their 1983 album, Synchronicity, was number one in the UK and the US and sold over 8,000,000 copies in the US. The band broke up in 1984, but reunited in early 2007 for a one-off world tour lasting until August 2008, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their hit single “Roxanne” and also, to a lesser extent, that of their formation as a group. To date, The Police have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and were the highest earning musicians in the world during 2008, as a result of their reunion tour. Rolling Stone ranked The Police number 70 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
